I believe a lot of future recruits will like Coach Jones' coaching style as well.

The scout site is doing a great job putting up stories. We should all keep ponyfans as our #1 message board, but we need to throw a few posts over on scout every once in a while to keep the stories coming. There is no reason we can't support both sites - Ponyfans as the main message board and scout as the main news board.

If they ever write anything newsworthy, it gets posted over here anyway by all the newbies who signed up here to tout their board. They're already selling their "membership" - and using a picture of June Jones, which I would think is a major no-no, since it looks like Coach Jones supports that site, which of course he can't (support one over another). There's a reason PonyFans.com is entrenched as the Bible of SMU sports news. It's where PonyFans go and where we get much better stories, anyway.

they have a picture of June Jones because they did a story about him. Is that alright with you? And if they ever have any wothwhile stories? They've had about 40 stories in about 3 weeks. They are doing a fabulous job over there and I have been Scout's harshest critic. Its worth the money and I can't wait for the daily fall camp reports they promise. The guy running the site is an experienced recruiting guy have previously been affiliated with an Ole Miss site. I'd give the site an A+ so far especially based on my expectations.

Lighten up, Francis. Yes, they have put out a lot of stories. My objection was with the use of Coach Jones' picture on a "story" about the memberships they're selling. I have no issue at all with their use of his picture with a story about him, of course.

i think the stories on Scout are outstanding - they're in more depth than the highlights posted here - it fills the vaucum of the almost non-exixtant articles about the Mustangs in the DMN and the ones that are published in the DMN are rare and far between - i understand that they are planning to do daily reports from training camp

I joined today! This is the first site of this kind, that I just had to have. Ponyfans is home, but, for stories, interviews with players and coaches on a daily basis, this is a must have for Mustang fans.

I don't think they are looking to steal Ponyfans fan base away. They are just providing stories.......Ponyfans is a great place for fans to talk. Scout a great place to get information.
