they have done some stories on SMU in the past, nothing big but a few small write-ups... i bet they would be more willing to do it once the new uniform comes out

My sentiments, exactly. Where did this royal blue bs come from? (or does it matter?)

from my stand point it was confusion, there just isnt much consistency anywhere to determine what the colors really are and Yale Blue was totally misrepresented when i was an incoming freshman

the yale uniforms almost have a "Rice Blue" about them.. but they look tough with the white helmet - ala Penn State. Yes, I know theirs are darker.. but so classic and so tough looking
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

Like many I used to have a "favorite" mustang uniform, but it's easy to see that everyone has a different opinion and so I think Coach should just pick some color combinations and let's go with it. If he is as successful as many think he might be, these will be the good ole days.

Here are the offical colors, which have evolved from the original Harvard Red (close to crimson) and Yale Blue (darker version than ours) with a surprise Secondary Accent Color, which is actually Tan, not White. Interesting.

How about Tan pants, aka 1940's, with red jerseys? Go Doak!

Just like all black uniforms or Oregon's Nike designer (Phil Knight, we have lots and lots of money) uniforms, or Northwestern Purple, or Vanderbilt Black and Gold, Harvard Crimson, or Duke Blue and White?
It was a bit of tongue in cheek, since today's kids want flash, strips, bold colors, dark images, etc. Hell, khaki looks traditional (not spoiled), but, no worries. SMU can never be type cast. Look to Syracuse below:

I guess that jersey is designed to make the other team either go temporarily blind or have them on the ground laughing so hard that they can't play the game.
Just terrible...

Trim this Colt uniform in red and blue with a red pony on the helmut and you have the . . . 2008 SMU Mustangs.
