Actually the recent success of Boise State and Hawaii - getting into BCS games - is something all coaches in non-BCS conferences can use to sell their programs. You've probably got a better shot at building a program that can dominate CUSA and go unbeaten and earn that BCS game than you do of surviving the rigors of a Big XII or SEC season and getting there. Sure, the BCS conferences have a shot at 2 bids, but recent years have shown you can get there, and win (Boise). Sooner or later, we may see someone from outside the BCS return in back-to-back years. Why not SMU out of CUSA? Gotta keep believing.
