This really sucks...may be an ESPN night.
RGV: Take him out of school 'early' that day. Nothing really happens the first week of school anyway and he's in kindergarten. I suggest you leave Plano at 1 p.m. That should put you at Rice Stadium by kick-off time (7 p.m.). I'm taking into consideration Houston traffic from Spring (southbound on Interstate 45) to the Hwy. 59 cut-off and then over to Rice Stadium with the time frame I'm quoting you. And remember...Friday is the start of Labor Day weekend so traffic will be heavier then, too.

Thanks 65. Fwding to Mrs. RGV for approval. Burning a candle at both ends these days...college grad, HS grad, starting kindergarten...so much stuff to plan around!

FYI: Some schools are letting classes out early that day because it's Labor Day weekend. Check with your kid's school to see if they're being released early.
