Opening of Stadium-Pep Rally ideas/Marketing Schemes

Post by DL3 »

(Same post is under Football)
My roommate works for the Athletic Department, and I've been talking to him about what they should do for marketing schemes, and also for opening of stadium. Right now, i think the plan is to have a kickoff, one week prior to Sept.2, at 6 pm, where they have a big promo session. I think that won't work, attendance wise because of students just arriving. I told my roommate they should have it on Friday night, Sept.1, keep all the lights off, except for security lights, and pub the crap out of it, but they need to start that now. Have all the students come over, have a bunch of ex-pony greats on the field for the official, turning on the lights of the stadium.

I've also griped to my roommate about what that 9-2-00 sign means on Greenville, actually you can see it from 75 too. I know what it means, but most people in dallas don't have a clue.

I just feel there are many ways out there to get that stadium filled, and I think the students are the best people to ask about it?

Let's hear those ideas for promos, and pep rallies in opening the stadium.

Because I'm bored, and it was there. And things haven't changed.
