Words cannot express my reaction should we beat Tech in Lubbock. It would be beyond anything I could ever hope for. Too bad we're going to get butt pumped by about 30.

Houston Nutt said in an interview on sports talk here in Nashville that he was "recruited (as a player) to Arkansas to beat SMU".

Plus the President Turner ties, Boulevard vs the Grove, our girls vs their girls, etc.

Not quite right. He was hired as a Coach of Arkansas to beat SMU. We had a very good record against Arkansas in the 4 or 5 years prior to Nutt. They could not stand that SMU was beating them up. Nutt's primary responsibility when he was hired was to beat SMU and in his first year he beat us handily in Dallas, including scoring on the first play they had the ball. After that, they have not played us again. That was the definition of a no win situation for them had they continued the series.
