G Alisha Filmore Womens BBall Recruit Commits!

Per the DMN, Mansfield Summit guard Alisha Filmore has orally committed to play BBall for Rhonda. Filmore averaged 11.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.8 steals for Summit, which reached the Class 5A regional semifinals.

Supposedly she's a much better scorer than her average indicates, because she plays on a high school team with a stud center who is Option 1 on every offensive series. Because they feed the ball down low so much, Filmore doesn't shoot as often as she otherwise might, but apparently she can really shoot.
Supposed to be a good defender, too.

I've got a friend whose daughter plays against Alisha's school, and I've seen her play twice - she's very quick, and tough as nails, especially on defense. Plays a little like Sharee Shepherd.

They've also got a center out there who's really strong and can score - can't remember her name, though. I'll try to find out.

The DMN note said we were competing against Rice, UL-Monroe and Missouri State. It wasn't clear if she had offers from those schools.
