Isn't this the first player that has been UPgraded after accepting an offer from us? The tide is really turning!

First this year. Pretty good considering his other offer was NTSU. I've documented at the very least 10-12 in recent years. This alleged bias against SMU is ridiculous. Get the top recruits that everybody wants and they'll get rated high.

Darius was voted Offensive MVP as a junior with those guys around? This kid will probably get a lot of offers by the time it's all over

I can see that happening.

See quote below on DJ:
"The same day that SMU unveils its new uniforms (which I'm not sold on yet), it also gets a few more players to fill them.

The Mustangs have rallied from way back in the recruiting race to tie in-state rival TCU with 11 verbals, fourth in the state behind Texas, A&M and Tech. Last year, the Ponies literally threw a recruiting class together. This year? They're actually building one.

FB Hightower WR Darius Johnson was the first of the Ponies' new trio to make a commitment, and he'll bring some much-needed speed to a wide receiver corps that's looking for some. He's a legitimate 4.4 guy that can hurt you in many different ways -- he scored 11 touchdowns in four different flavors last year -- so his versatility should be a great fit with June Jones' offensive scheming."
