SMU becomes a competitive respectable team again within
a couple of years, maybe sooner.

"Depends how you define "next level"?"
It's not going to all happen the 1st year, but soon.
If "next level" is not being a joke anymore then yes.
If winning 6-8 games a year on a regular basis is "next level" then yes.
If having fun again is "next level" then yes.
If playing in some kind of post-season bowl again within a couple of years is "next level" then yes.

3. "Do you think he'll give you a win vs. TCU?"

This year?
Maybe, but I doubt it.
But yes I think June Jones will get SMU to TCU's level of success
within 4 years.

I have great respect for what TCU has done.
Amazing success for "a little private church school".
I think SMU will do the same under June Jones, maybe
better because in my opinion SMU now has the better
coach, better stadium, better facilities, better campus and
better city than TCU. But we're not there yet, just on our
way. Because of June Jones TCU will not be screaming
"cross town whipping boys" at football games very much longer.

BTW: We have put an end to the "cross town whipping boys"
at basketball since we have spanked TCU in basketball for 3
straight years!
