Take out the bowl games takes out South Carolina and Kansas. SMU has played Okie State and Tech multiple times. We played A&M; we played TCU multiple times. In each of the last two seasons, Houston has played one sunbelt team; in each of the last three seasons, they have played a I-AA team.

It ticks me off that we aren't as good as U of Houston in football right now. I think after JJ has a chance to establish his program at SMU we WILL be better than Houston. But anyone who thinks that the past couple seasons indicate that SMU and UH are neck and neck is a complete homer.

Nobody is saying we are neck and neck with Cougar High. The swagger that we have now is based on potential. With June Jones we have the upside in our favor. UH is the better program based on wins and losses, but we could break the conference wide open if Jones' system takes hold.

It has to. When fall comes we have to actually play the games.
