When Orsini gets to ND, his first 'evaluation' with Charlie will start off something like,
"Hi Chuck, I'm Steve Orsini. Ever heard of a guy named Phil Bennett? No? Well, let me tell you a little story about Phil, then."

Don't they already know each other from back in the day?

"Hi Chuck, Great to see you again. Its just like old times isn't it?. Ever heard of a guy named Phil Bennett? No? Well, let me tell you a little story about Phil, then. I think you just might be interested to hear this tale."

It would be difficult for me to hate ND more than I currently do, but this would do the trick.

It would definitely not be good. Just when things are starting to turn the corner.
At least we have two passionate coaches in place. Just need to work on soccer and swimming facilities. AND to get those rude yellow jacket people out of our stadium.

"I disagree that it's awful if he leaves"
I think it is awful, but it is out of our control. We'll have to move on. Hopefully Steve Orsini doesn't leave, but if the Mob Boss departs SMU isn't it the worst possible timing for SMU to be looking for a new AD in late July/August about to start a new football season? This may bode well for someone within to move up? Could June handle both jobs? Who else from within? We'll survive and be much better equipped to hire a good candidate than a couple of years ago. I just hope President Turner would look for someone as AGGRESSIVE as Steve Orsini. At this point in time SMU needs AGGRESSIVE!

Is anybody over there looking for a soccer coach?

I would love to be jstangs employee, a boss with no expectations....
I could surf p-fans for the whole work day instead of just a half day.

Now that is an interesting idea. You would be my undersecretary of tailgating, of course.

You're not serious, are you?
Let him win football games, and find an administrator to hire us a great soccer coach.

I think I read that they played football together and won a National Championship together at ND and maybe were even roommates at one point. Can't remember though

Weis didn't play football. They were in the same dorm, though.

"Weis did not play a sport during his college years, but he was a student who lived in the dorms. "
