Funky blue almost reminds me of the Miami Dolphins

We finally get official SMU colors, and then can't even get unis to match.

go check the blue on the helmet which is deeper blue. The SMU SID said the actual color of the blue on the jersey is the same as the blue on the helmet. It better be-because the blue I see on all my screens is very ugly.
Like some of you, I was initially concerned that the new jerseys were a little heavy on the stripes. I am changing my mind.
When you think about it, many of the comments can be paraphrased as follows: these new uniforms are really neat, but they just aren't identical to what we wore in the 80's. Well, think about it. June Jones (whom the SID confirms had a hand in this) wants his own look. He has stuck with the basics and has merely tinkered with the SMU script and the sleeves. Good for him...this will be the new era's new look. On the lettering issue, this reduced size is clearly the trend. As for the sleeve stripes, I looked at Athlon and it reveals that most teams don't go this route...most only have numbers on the sleeves. However, that is not true in all instances...see Florida, Ohio State, and Iowa, to name three. So, bottom line, we will have a unique, instantly recognizable, classical look. Good for us. I, for one, grew tired of glancing up at the TV and having to take a second to see if it was us, Ole Miss, Arizona, or even the Texans. Starting Labor Day, we will have our own distinctive, and classy, look. There will be no confusing who is on the field.
I hope you're right, Stallion. I see the same, too, on mine. I heard it's a "darker" royal blue or something but not exactly navy or Yale. But darker than the 80's unis. Hear anything like that? Also, wondering if the stripes on the helmet are side by side like the 80's helmet or separated like the pants stripes (or 90's helmet)? Too bad they just didn't make (or say) the "mustang" was a darker red or crimson color instead of simply red. BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
In the mockups that you have seen, do you know if the photos were in CMYK or RGB color prior to conversion for web use. RGB will look great on screen, but isn't the standard for printing and will be weird after printed on a printing press. CMYK looks great on the finished product (paper/fabrics/linen, etc) coming off the printing press but generally look hideous on sceen, especially for blue and darker colors.
I don't remember the uniform but I think I recognize that player.
I think he went on to become the icon for the Big Boy restaurants. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
You're right! Is that Kip or Bob? I never could tell them apart. I think Bob still lives in California, but Kip left Dallas and I don't know where he ended up. (I know, preposition)
IM SOOO PUMPED!!!!!!!...this is why Adidas is the best in the biz with uni's!!! "There ain't nothing you can't solve with one more beer"
