That's essentially the same job as Lt. Gov. Ask Dewhurst how "easy" and pleasant of a time he had last legislative session.

I figured that's where you were headed. Having some fun with you. FWIW, most of the presiding over votes and ceremonial stuff w/ Texas legis. is in session isn't carried out by Lt Gov anyway. Basically whomever it gets handed to. Most of the time last session it was Kim Brimer. But now we're way off topic. How did all this relate to Orsini?

In case Orsini gets nominated as a VP candidate, or decides to run for Lt Gov of Texas, we need him to be aware of the duties and obligations of each office.

i think its one of those places that looks good from the outside but when you get there you realize that its falling apart (the stadium...what a dump) and in the end its still South Bend, Indiana...in no place is it easier to have a conversation with a guy who uses his own car as a taxi with a mullet that rivals b. melrose.

The dollars that are created by the NBC contract DO make it a top-flight job, even thought it's in Indiana. As much as I hate the Dookies, at least he left for another high-profile job. It's not like Kevin White left South Bend for North Texas State College of Denton.

you dont leave the "most prestigious job in the country" for a basketball school.
You do if that "basketball school" is so high-brow it is something of a Notre Dame starter kit, with the biggest intake of TV dollars (or close to it) in the country. In this case, Duke has ESPN in its pocket, as Notre Dame football does with NBC, although it doesn't have an exclusive contract to have every game shown, no matter how much Dickie V. wishes that was the case.
If there are underlying political issues that made Kevin White want out, Duke is an "acceptable" landing destination where he doesn't lose much face by walking away from the NCAA's largest cash cow.
