Not sure exactly what he's trying to tell us about the QB situation.

Did you pay and read more than the first paragraph?

Sounds like to me that JJ will determine the top 2 QB's fairly quickly but that it may be into the season before the true starter is selected. Unless one truly stands out during fall practice, it may be game competition that determines who will lead this team. Willis should be strong in leadership but has some proving to do in the areas of accuracy, arm strength and quick delivery.

Good article. Looks like we could have a 2 QB system for a while if one does not turn out to be the clear cut starter in the beginning.

Yes, and have been enjoying multiple articles almost every day. I think its worth the money to get coverage that the DMN won't provide to anyone but UT.

James who runs the site is promising 4 or 5 articles every day once camp starts. We shall see if he can handle such coverage!

I'd be really surprised if Willis doesn't win this thing outright from day one. I do like the signal being sent though.

The article clearly points out that the roster does, in fact, include quarterbacks. Other than that - not much.

It wil be an interesting battle for QB.

Ironically, after what happened in the spring, it's probably his leadership that Jones questions the most.

If there is such a surprise, the scoreboard at the end of games won't be a surprise. We all sat through JWill's freshman year...he was all-freshman whatever, and we still sucked. And that was with a redshirt. Can't WAIT to see the calamity if a true freshman is wheeled out there vs Rice.

How can anyone sit here and predict a freshman will play at any position? With the exception of Andrew Robiskie and Andrew Ellison, the freshmen haven't had a single practice yet. To suggest one is going to take anyone's starting job off the pass-and-catch sessions and the conditioning work they're doing is foolish and grossly premature.
