Putting together a story about Steve Orsini staying at SMU and not going to Notre Dame. Should air during the 6 p.m. and/or 10 p.m. newscasts. Set your DVRs!

He could've just gotten a screen name and posted it here like everyone else. As it is, I'm glad SID acknowledges us over here.
That goes for Kate, too. I think PonyBeatWriter should be available. Maybe we can get someone to work up an avatar for her. Maybe Riba's could be IMNOTDALE

"steve orsini did not go to ND"
"steve orsini is still here"
"football season is in the fall and steve orsini will be the AD at SMU"
"june jones is the coach and steve orsini hired him but did not take the job at ND because he is still here and football season starts in the fall"
...likely content of the broadcast.

Ol' George has to fill 2 minutes of DH's sports segment.

Will probably report that a slush fund was established to keep Orsini.

I like that. Who do you think Riba's going to hand an envelope to, showing the unsuspecting Mustang staffer his own handwriting?

Nice story, but one has to wade thru Dale Hansen's bs both on the front and back...of course he had nothing positive to say, about this or any other story tonight. Even the lead anchor told him to lighten up.

Thanks for the two leads...the second one, which is a longer interview with Orsini is much better than the one edited for broadcast...and you don't have to even see Dale.

Second one had a great nugget of information: we're trying to raise $80 million for various facilities improvements.

Thanks for the link!
Did anyone else catch Orisini's comment at the 3:00?
"And we chose the right decision, and that was to stay here."
Sound as if ND made an offer.
