Can you get close in parking this year by the game, or do you have to buy a package to get close in parking.
Thanks

Define "close".

Expect more fans this year (at least for the first couple of games) so parking will be even harder to come by. Plan ahead.

I'm pretty sure that to get On Campus parking, you need to buy the season parking pass. However, there is "close" parking in the neighborhood streets near the Boulevard, and frankly, Mockingbird station is pretty close by the standards I've seen for parking at other stadiums.

That is the way I understand the parking passes. The new garage is open to purchase season pass for $150 to season ticket holders. And you are correct with Mockingbird Station. Easy parking and a lovely walk or a short bus ride. Whichever you prefer.

If you have never taken the train to the game - do it - just once for the heck of it. It is the best way to go, believe me. We have even parked at the West End - since there is nobody there anymore -and ridden up to Mockingbird Station - walked over to Campisi's or a MS restaurant or bar after the game - and then take the train back to the car. No hassle, no traffic, and C-H-E-A-P. And you can go as early as you like and get tanked on the Boulevard. Now, if you're a lazy ars, you will not enjoy this adventure.

The DART is excellent for Stars/Mavs games, too. Getting loaded before/during the game, and then hitting bars and restaurants afterward, has never been easier.
We've never lost the tailgate.

Cubs home games are one of the best events in sports. And taking the train there so that you can get well oiled before and after is a great way to go.

But be sure and leave by train a few days early from Chicago so you do not miss the Blvd or kickoff.

I always figured mrydel for riding on the short bus.
