The blue is a very like bright blue sort of, it's not my favourite color. It's about the same blue as that avatar, a little brighter. The helmets we've gotten are awesome - a mixture of Schutt and Riddell...some very expensive, upwards of $300...VERY nice stuff!

I'm just so glad we don't have that navy anymore, I don't know what to do.

I don't get this logic:
(a) we're all perfectly fine with the blue in the helmet
(b) SID has said helmet blue matches jersey blue
(c) nonetheless, the blues [hmm...squinting] don't look like they match [squinting harder] on my crappy computer screen, so
(d) SID must be somehow misinformed ...we don't believe him
...anyway, I don't think they could have pulled it off any better. The whole thing looks sharp to me.
Now I see PonyDad has already covered this material. But I still think you people are nuts.

Looks like a shade darker than ucla powder baby blue - here we come!
This should be interesting for sure. I wonder what school has changed their school colors more times in the last 30 years than us? I bet we've changed our colors at least 4 or 5 times.
We just can't stick to our traditional colors I suppose? So what that means is another color change in a year or so from now. What is there about this place that they just don't appear to know where they're coming from & where they're going???
So much for crimson (Harvard) red & Yale blue
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Since SMU is actually trying for once, people have run out of easy targets to complain about. It would just be too bizarre to not be complaining at this time of the year.

It's Harvard red, which Harvard later trademarked/whateverlawyersdo and called it Harvard crimson.

The only thing I don't like is the one thing I can see clearly. The SMU on the front is too small. What happened to the big letters of old? That's all I got.

re the color...
I don't know what this fuss is about. This blue is very, very close to the Hayden Fry and Pony Express eras' shades.

From that angle it looks a lot like the Indy Colts.

Some people would [deleted] that they'd want fifteen minutes alone with Scarlett Johanssen instead of just ten. Good Lord. Take a damn midol you bunch of f'ing babies. The uniforms are a VAST improvement over what we've seen the last several years and I'm thrilled at this initial look.
Back off Warchild seriously.

I think they look great... I would love to see how the red uniforms look. Are we gonna wear them as much as the blue or are they gonna be like ND green and only worn on special ocassions?
