Clarification
I would assume that the description above is incorrect.
I've only seen pictures of the exterior of Ford Stadium.
As I recall the exterior is covered entirely with brick.
Therefore it would seem highly unlikely that the entire
inner structure of such a stadium would be composed
of aluminum bleachers.
hes actually right. its almost all bleachers. but it still blows me away that the entire project of Ford Stadium cost $42M (wikipedia) and the frogs wanna renovate their turd for 175+...
So, you are saying that SMU's Ford stadium is actually composed
entirely of "Friday Night Lights" aluminum bleachers that have been
cleverly hidden by an exterior facade of brick. No wonder the overall
cost was so incredibly CHEAP. It's somewhat tantamount to putting
lipstick on a pig. Those who play in a stadium with aluminum bleachers
have no room to throw stones.
All the latest stadiums are going to aluminum. Go look at the expanded Cotton Bowl areas. Concrete is so passe.

Soccer smack is available as a backup, I guess..
One thing I will always have to thank TCU for is allowing Demyron Martin to announce his presence with authority. That was really gracious of you considering it was just one week after your "program defining" game against OU. So thanks for that.
And speaking of pigs....nice job on that practice facility. All you need to know about the difference between SMU and TCU is summed up by comparing our perfect facility with your tin pig-pen.

Emmm, might want to rethink that...it was voted the 2nd nicest in the country. Hahnfeld Hoffer Stanford has won numerous awards for its design. In fact, SMU liked the stuff so much they've done on our campus, they've started using them...your engineering school and rec center are two wonderful examples.
we cant be talking about the same building. your practice facility? The one that looks really cheap, that even toads dont like? It really looks like hell - I'm i'm not one that bashes the rest of your campus which I don't think is all that bad looking - not a great color - but hey you've been stuck with it for years so too late to change that direction.

Basketball or Football?
If basketball, yeah the outside sucks and I agree.
gostangs wrote:wow, you just sucked all the fun out of that arguement. Can we also agree that SMU is better in all things, and then go sing kum-bah-ya?
