I remember that, and thinking to myself "Wow, that's so atypicalof a Tech athlete to represent his school like that! I'm sure he'll be disciplined appropriately."

Then I polished off my flask and started thinking reasonably again.

Now we just need to install some sort of diversion to keep them in their seats through halftime...

I think free beer (or wine) for the students at halftime would do the trick. First, they would have a reason to stay at the stadium instead of heading to the next party and hopefully they will get so much beer that they will be unable to walk out of the stadium until well after the game has concluded.

How about Dean?
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

Surely our students are smart enough to figure out how to get a flask into the stadium. If not, perhaps they should come take a lesson from us old broads. 8)

Actually, I do not think we should have free beer/wine at a game for students. I think the game should have meaning for our students. We should have quarter beer nights starting at halftime instead of free beer. That way, the students feel some of their money is going to something of value to them.

Hey, does the TABC run all over the SMU students like they do in Fort Worth? I ask because there was an article in the paper a few weeks ago that said that TCU is the second-most ticketed school in the nation.

They make periodic appearances at tailgates, but it is mostly SMU PD that screws with the students. Those guys need to figure out that their job is not student harrassment.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

TABC isnt as prvalent on campus but our campus pretend cops do a good job writing people up, AV's went up 300% last fall semester ....and schedule 1 and 2 drugs went down 75% so you can see where their focus is...hence i tend to use a hip flask on the blvd and keep the open containers in the house

It's the opposite over in Fort Worth - the campus cops are chill, from my understanding, but the TABC is everywhere.

Exactly. Sidebar (Greenville) was recently shut down due to a TABC raid and copious twenty-year-olds found drinking.
