PonyFans.com feature: MAD SCIENTIST?

Postby PonyPride » Thu Jul 24, 2008 1:42 am

PonyFans.com continues our series of profiles on all of the new assistant coaches with a profile of new offensive line coach Dennis McKnight, who visited with us this week to explain what he looks for in linemen, and how he rose from a skinny high school lineman to small-school star to Pro Bowl alternate.

We met Coach McKnight at the Mustang Club signing party back in January. He was leaning up against the bar with a beer in his hand, khaki pants, flip flops, and Ash Wednesday ashes on his forehead. After it was all said and done, one of the things I remember most is that he told us he was all over his line about their grades. He wants everyone to have a 2.5 and was calling guys out by name who didn't.

Cancel that, met him in February. Signing day is always the first week in February.

Is there any doubt that McKnight can crush us all like bugs?
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Absolutely none. To wit:
"The 6-foot-3-inch McKnight has biceps that are almost as big as his shaved head."

Then again, there's this look from who knows when:
