it's unconfirmed but i heard hudman is coming back as a "walk-on"

Mapps is gone, and I get the impression Hudman is not assured a spot, even as a walk-on. I'd put his walk-on status at 50-50.

Was it grades with him? I'm not sure I ever saw any definitive answer as to why he was kicked off the team.

wouldn't be bad to have a "walk-on" of that caliber on the bench in case of injuries

hudman basically sealed the only win we had last year with an interception
and the 49 yard return for a touchdown against UNT. plus last seson
Bryce set a Conference USA record with 26 tackles at Arkansas State.

I am just a little confused by why we were told the reasons for JW's suspension and yet two other prominent members of the team are shrouded in such mystery.

Neither Mapps or Hudman are on the the Fall Camp Roster. There were freshmen on the 4th of July float, form HP OL Zach Boyd, for sure and they were wearing other players old Nike jerseys. So are you really sure it was Mapps and not just someone wearing his jersey? Looks like former Highland Park quarterback William Webb is transfering from UVA and walking on as a receiver.

Hudman is 6'2 and 210, with pretty good speed. As a 4th year junior, I will be glad to have him back. And yes, if I were a betting man, I would expect to see him back on the team.

I'll take the other side of that bet. Missing Spring was one thing. Don't think he was in summer school and not being included on the Fall camp roster, for whatever reason, doesn't sound good to me.

The roster is loaded now with tons of DBs and scat backs/slot guys. Both were good players but I think we can get along without them. Too bad for them though
