I'm a little surprised to see a school like Michigan making any changes to their uniform design at all.

every member of the design team and phil knight should be castrated for that atrocity of a jersey and defiling the tradition they have at michigan
i hate UM but its an affront to college football as much at UM

Can't directly blame Phil for this as Michigan is sponsored by Adidas now...
However this is an affront you can blame on Phil...

"Interior shoulder panels feature silicone prints of the 42 Michigan Big Ten championship seasons, reminding players of their role in Michigan football history."
Can we have the 'Miracle on Mockingbird' or the 'Birmingham Bomb' printed inside of ours?
(forgot what the Romo to Chase pass is called in lore)

How are you supposed to be motivated by something you can barely see?
but i have to admit i like the quote on the sleeve
although also difficult to read
good detail on the back of the neck with the adidas stripes and the "M" logo but the '1' on the sleeve looks sloppy, probably better from a distance

They are there to keep the jersey stuck to the pads and keep it from shifting. The uniform designer just decided to appeal to the sad pathetic souls of M football

and you cant see them anyways because they are on the inside... side not the designer should have known most guys tape their jerseys to their pads if they are worried about them being too lose

That shoulder-pad thing is probably a feature of the jersey. Once the decision is made to put that on the jersey, the cost is negligible to have that die machined with the years, Block M's or Bo Schembechler's face compared to having circles or rectangles.
