This photo was taken without a flash so it didn't 'wash out' the blue. The bookstore personnel have said all along that because of the late decision on what the official jersey would look like that theirs would not be 'exact copies' this year.
That is a decent color of blue. Hopefully when they made these for the bookstore Adidas knew the color we were going to use and just not the details such as the stripes and number locations.

for crying out loud, what the hell is so difficult about getting "authentic" jerseys to purchase? It's like going to Wal-Mart to buy the imitation Cowboy jersey-the $25 variety. For a school so anal about diluting its brand, why not invest a little more, charge more for a better product to sell?

RGV: Maybe you missed the previous posts earlier in the year about the school's decision to change its unis. The exact changes did not get to Adidas in time for its factory to manufacture the new style jerseys before the start of the season. The bookstore personnel have been straightforward about this from the beginning.

Maybe so, but after what 3 years I still never saw an authentic replica of the crappy red jerseys manufactured by Nike. And those were 'stock' pattern jerseys. I'm not a jersey-wearing guy, but it seems a little unstable to sell versions that are 'well...not exactly..'

I'm not sure what to think, that jersey is different, from the 3 they show in the new media guide. Come SID folks, wanna chime in on this?

I'm not talking about the color, this is a totally different jersey, than the one that was released by the SID several weeks ago, and the one Serge and DeMyron wore at the media day.

It looks so much better without the stripes.

The clerk at the bookstore says they're a 'smaller cut' than the men's styles.

Is there any information on the kids' cheer unis? I won't buy a jersey, but we are in the market for 2 "SMU blue" outfits for the girls. The navy and red ones just won't cut it this year.
