Just a head's up...

What's up Mustang faithful? It's summer and I've only been able to read your board twice the past few month's, but I thought I would share something with you...

Last few nights I have been re-watching Hawaii games from last year. The Boise State game... down early, rallying to win 39-27... the Washington game... down 0-21 and 7-28... only to rally and win 35-28... the San Jose State game... down 21-35 with 7 + minutes left... rallying to win in OT, 42-35... the Nevada game, down 25-26 with 2:12 to play... backup quarterback in and starting from their own 12 yard line... driving down to kick the game winning FG only to have the Nevada coach call timeout so Dan Kelly had to kick it again... and nailed it again from 45 yards out to win 28-26...

So why all this Hawaii Warrior reminiscing? Because June Jones is The Man and he will get your program back on top. It won't happen in 2008... but soon, you guys and girls will be feeling what Warrior fans have experienced...

The season is less than a month away and I am looking forward to seeing you guys on ESPN... get ready Mustangs... a whole new era of excitement, late game heroics, passing records and school enthusiasm is about to begin...

I think Hawaii will do okay this year... what they've had the past several years doesn't come around very often. The Warriors lost their QB and all 4 WR's to the NFL... hopefully they keep the thing going... but the past two years were a small window of excellence that was extremely thrilling to be part of...
