The Heat Index in DallasUnbearable. Temps are predicted to hit between 105-110 in the next couple of days with heat index factors between 110-115!
http://www.weather.com/maps/maptype/for ... om=hp_news I'm sure this will have an affect on camp and the players who are just now returning who haven't been here during the summer workouts. KEEP HYDRATED GUYS!!!
Yeah, right. The compressor just quit on my central air. Have the water hose running on it now. Good thing we have a guest bedroom with a window unit in it downstairs are it would be a miserable night.
When will I start feeling stimulated??
Had the same problem. Took the warranty/service people two weeks to fix it. Upstairs working; downstairs not. Bought a portable a/c from Home Depot. Man, it was hot.
The August practice schedule link that I posted showed about 90 percent of the practices were between 7:30-9:30 a.m. There were a couple of Friday-Saturday practices that were between 3:30-5:30. They were later in August.
But then again, August is our usually our hottest month of the year. ![]()
They need to get used to it since the games will be in similar conditions. If any of the players have a problem with the temperatures then they are [deleted].
I'm sure the trainers will keep them hydrated properly. It's not like we're the only team practicing in high heat during the next couple of weeks.
Actually, the home games are at night (7 p.m. kick-offs when it has cooled down somewhat) and the first afternoon kick-off isn't until Homecoming on November 8th (2 p.m.). School officials and game schedulers finally got it right for the players and the fans! ![]()
For those stateside that is high of 57 with a low of 37
i am accountable for one or two of those degrees

An opportune time to remember Mike Kelsey, starting center.
Alright. I'll admit it. I don't know what happened to Mike Kelsey. What happened?

"Heat is good,..." Many years ago I think it was Hayden Fry who recruited a well thought of tackle from Pennslyvania. Believe his older brother played for Fry also. The kis arrived in Dallas looking all pumped and weighing 235 according to the newspapers. By the time two-a-days were over he was down to 185 and it took him a couple of years to get built up again to where he could play. I can't remember the name. Hope someone can help me there. I know that todays training methods are better. Still, it would be interesting to know the real weights at the end of the month. And on a more serious note, take a moment to remember Mike Kelsey as Burgermeister suggested. Kelsey could have helped.
