Classy, maligning the intellect of a young man of whom you know

nothing about or is it just players from Mansfield Timberview in

general? All things considered your attitude is not really surprising.

Just giving you a piece of your own medicine because every time you post on here, you come off very snide and arrogant blended with a hint of superficial superiority.

Based on your reaction, you somewhat acknowledged Hicks academic issues. You brought up the Timberview thing, I didn't. However, I would venture to say that you don't know as much about him as you think you do.

I'm sure HF Victory, Deepellum Frog and your other alums would probably pay you stay off of these sites because you continue to do your alma mater a disservice.

But go on Corp -- what are you a closet A&M supporter? -- keep it coming. We're excited to know what other "brilliance" you're willing to share.

TCU doesn't like it when recruits pull out through the back door.

That puts Kevin Sumllin in as the leader so far in C-usa recruiting with five 3 star recruits.

It's never good to lose a recruit but hopefully adding Hicks will take away some/most of the sting. Glad to see he is staying in-state and he has always said he liked UH so not terribly surprising.

Reed, do you see any problem with the Maud squad. Heard there was a lot of interest in them from some BCS schools.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

I see little chance they keep that quarterback, if he is really that good.

Honestly, I do not have any inside info and probably am just reading the same things you are. It's always a risk with (good) early commits but it's just impossible to know what's going on in the minds of 17-18 yr olds. fortunately, I've seen enough positive results on the field so that if we do lose them then I am confident that our coaches will find guys who can take their place and fit our system. To answer your question, I have no idea but I guess it's a good thing if they are getting a lot of BCS interest - hard to see that as a negative but certainly a risk.

nice penetrating analysis. You got any rational basis for your belief or just a gut fewling. He's had those big offers since well before he committed to TCU.

I feel better about him that some of the others. It sounds like he is strongly committed (as strong as one can be) to TCU and plans to graduate early so he can enroll next spring. Again, this is only based on what I have read.

I hope we eventually get to the point that we have the same kind of worries that TCU has.

Exactly and he is out there recruiting for TCU whenever he is allowed. Really worked hard trying to get Beaver to TCU (insert beaver jokes as you wish). Pachal is as solid to TCU as there is and even mack brown has continued to approach him since there are some worries about Gilbert's shoulder.

Offered by ND, Fla and many others and still stuck and turned down visiting UT, can't get much more solid than that.

As far as it goes for the Maud trio, Ark still hard after them, but look to be very solid. Wearing lots of TCU garb around maud and they also helping recruit as allowed.

I think the presumption about the QB switch is based on the assumption that even an 18 yr old would eventually realize that TCU is where QB talent goes to die - bad system for a passer.

As bad as our coaching system and record has been, even SMU has had a couple of QB's get some pro traction. It is surprising a high ranked prospect would go to the frogs based on their low attention conference and low production offense.

Not really a valid point, especially when you look at the QBs TCU has recruited over the years. In addition add the fact that TCU is continually upgrading the facilities and also now changing the offense, the reaction from recruits has been even more positive.

Also comments about the MWC not valid either and with CBS Sports behind it the attention continues to grow.

Really bad form for a C-USA school to even try and talk conference attention smack. I think C-USA has more schools in the bottom 10 than any other conference and I think MWC definitely has more schools getting attention from coaches and sportswriters, especially when you look at the preseason polls.

I realize this is an SMU forum and I generally try and keep the TCU talk to answering questions only. However, I'll definitely speak up when false info about SMU recruiting LT springs up, or his not being able to qualify for SMU, or when someone such as yourself makes non-coherent ramblings about a recruit that is as solid as you could get to a program.

The starters over the years for TCU have generally been 3 Stars + or at least pretty highly recruited.
