If by "green brickettes" you mean wads of $20s, I think that would send the wrong message :)

NTSU will think we have named a new Pope.

Now you see, that right there is funny. I have no real idea why it's funny. I really don't even "get it" but I laughed out loud when I read it.

looks like Troy and Co. were there to see Gamso (along with june)

SMU football: Aikman, Johnston among dignitaries at Wed. practice

UNIVERSITY PARK - The sidelines were jam-packed today as a who's who list of Dallas football dignitaries stopped by SMU's practice.

Troy Aikman and Daryl "Moose" Johnston, who were part of three Super Bowl championship teams with the Dallas Cowboys in the 1990s, were in attendance to watch freshman walk-on Winston Gamso. Aikman and Johnston, who are now sportscasters, are friends with Gamso's father, Tim Gamso.

Aikman and Johnston also got a chance to check out June Jones, who coached the Atlanta Falcons (1994-96) in that era of Cowboys greatness.

"I've been familiar with June since going back to the days of the NFL when he was coaching there," Aikman said "and had a great respect for him as an offensive mind an the job that he had done at his various stop and most recently in Hawaii turning that program around."

Also in the house were former SMU tailback Reggie Dupard, an all-American in 1985 who played profressionally with the New England Patriots and Washington Redskins; Kevin Murray, a former Texas A&M standout quarterback (1983-'87) and founder/president of Air 14 Quarterback Academy, which has Gamso as a client; and former SMU linebackers Corey Riley (1997-2001) and D.D, Lee (2000-'05).

Except for the fact that the Orioles drafted a damn froggie pitcher, there's nothing about Frog High that will EVER be on par with Camden Yards - most beautiful baseball stadium I've ever been to.

Aikman said he is a supporter of SMU and will do whatever June asks him to help. He plans to come to more practices. He is a friend of Gamso and his family and came out to see him.

Put his name down as a positional coach. He doesn't have to even show up and it'll help recruiting.

I beg your pardon. You need to get to Wrigley Field. It is like going to church. Better than Fenway too.

Nothing better than taking in a Friday afternoon game at Wrigley. It is Mecca.
