Re: New Cal Unis
You know what's really sad, is the fact that in the past week on NFL Network they have shown the Packers and the Browns at their Fan Appreciation Night and each team has been in glamorous practice jerseys... numbers sewn on, just no stripes... and even though they are plain white or plain green or plain brown... they look so much better than any of the so-called new, hi-tech uniforms... There are lessons to be learned here... ![]()
Re: New Cal UnisIs this what they're trying to achieve? They put their gloved hands at their sides to make the claws, too! ![]()
Re: New Cal Unis
I personally like the face stealth effect by Player No. 1. After last year's dismal melt down when they were ready to take over the No. 1 National Ranking they probably do need sharpened claws! SMU's White Helmets not in ESPN helmet playoff. UT's helmet is better than Michigan's. South Florida's helmet beats the Trojan's. Give me a break. Now all these pathetic show biz unis. And you think socal is all Hollywood. USC and UCLA (aka Westwood High) at least honor tradition. Check this great tradition restoration: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/allthin ... la-bo.html ![]() SMU recognized their roots as well with the restored traditional look. From wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_helmet "The visors started out as clear or smoked, but now come in colors ranging from blue, gold, All black, Rainbow, Silver, or Amber, though high-school and pee-wee leagues prohibit all but clear visors. This rule was made so in case a player suffered a head injury officials, trainers, and coaches could see into his eyes to see if he were conscious. The NCAA banned the use of tinted visors for the same reason. However, players with eye problems may still use clear visors." SMU - IT'S YOUR TURN
