It all goes back to recruiting: If SMU wins, the recruits will head to Dallas. Given the state of the defense in this league, SMU's offense is going to put up huge numbers. That means if SMU's defense can improve to middle of the pack in the league, the Mustangs will be just fine.

I was shocked to see that this guy thinks our secondary has the potential to be top 4 or 5 in the league. If that holds true, we should be bowling.

Our secondary has never been the biggest issue - D line and epecially L-backers have been an issue of late.
