If you are talking about Phelps, I remember Mark Spitz and our own Jerry Henerich (sorry again about the spelling). If you had listened to the interview with Kobe Bryant and Lebron James talking about Phelps you might feel differently. They seem to think he is a pretty special athlete, but I guess they do not know what an athlete is.

its an unbelievable feat with what he did, it falls under Jesse Owens setting four world records in just over an hour. It is one if not THE single most greatest achievement in sports. People do not realize that he won 17 races, broke 7 WR, and won 8 gold medals in EIGHT (8) days.
