didnt history say PB would bring a very strong defense over here with him from Kstate? History hasnt always been that nice to SMU football.
and JJ didnt always have winning seasons at Hawaii

My feeling turned out to be correct, but no way did I have a feeling that he'd fall to third string. Unbelievable.

How many boneheaded plays to willis make last year too. He runs around like a chicken with his head cut off and holds the ball like a loaf of bread. Personall I never really thought he looked all that good.
Go JJ and SMU

At least we don't open with Tech like we did last year. If that were the case the could be a total disaster. I think the coaches will game plan well enough for Rice to get us out of Houston with a W. I just have a feeling that this will turn out ok.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Guys-
Last year is over. This is what JJ wants done, so let's get behind him and the team. If there is anything you can do about the QB situation, then, by all means, do so. But if there is not, get behind the team. Become the biggest Bo Levi fan you can. This is not about contending for a championship this year. It's about getting this team in a position to win CUSA and get to a bowl in the next couple of years. If JJ thinks this is the best way, I'm inclined to believe him over any of the people on this board.
The last thing BLM needs is to get booed in in his first home game because he threw an INT and you think JW should be starting. Part of JJ's success in Hawaii was that that team knew the entire state was supporting them.
All IMHO, of course.

JJ has WON at places like Hawaii, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, etc. He may not have a winning season every year here... Besides Bobby Collins, who the hell has ? But JJ will win here and will win the majority of the games he is here. Bank on it...

OK, now how about the defense. JJ knows what he wants and who best to produce on the offense. It is the defense that needed to make dramatic improvement.
It will be interesting to see how our new offense runs with new players in key positions. We have a different RB scheme, multiple receivers and moved a solid TE to tackle. A whole lot of shaking of the lineup going on.
Now, for the last two years Rice has benefited from JW turnovers. What will the Rice game be like now that Rice’s best defensive player, Justin Willis, is on the bench?
And how does Rice prepare for JJ offense with a completely unknown QB at the helm?

Let me be clear about something. If BLM starts chucking INT's, I'm going to be booing. Loudly.

Think of this as an investment. How much time is JJ going to have to put into a player he has already had trouble with, only to get a season and a half out of him?
If he puts that same amount of effort into these freshmen, he's going to get at least two more years out of them. JJ has said from the beginning his offense takes reps and game experience. If he starts JW he is actually taking more time away from the guys who are going to get him to the top of the mountain.
I honestly wonder if some of you would rather have success someone's else's way or failure your way.

Can we get a refund on the season tickets? I didn't buy them this year to be contending in 2 or 3 years!
