For those who are interested, here's a list of the assistant coaches, what regions they're recruiting and some of the prominent players they've recruited/coached in the past:

Assistant head coach/defensive tackles coach BOB FELLO - recruits DFW Metroplex, El Paso.
Gilbert Brown, Monty Beisel, Darren Howard, Chance McCarty, Aaron Schobel, Dana Stubblefield, Shawn Worthen.

Defensive coordinator/linebackers coach JIM GUSH - recruits North Central Texas, Southwest Dallas.
Cory Dillon, Gerald Dixon, Jeff Kelly, Frank Murphy, Mark Simoneau.

Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach LARRY EDMONDSON - recruits north Houston, north Fort Worth.
Michael Jackson, Eddie Kennison, Todd Kinchen, Shedrick Wilson.

Running backs coach JERRY BENNETT - recruits east Dallas, east Texas, Shreveport, La.
Montrae Holland (Florida State offensive lineman)

Defensive ends coach OSCAR GILES - recruits south Houston, south Dallas.

Wide receivers coach CLARENCE JAMES - recruits southeast Dallas, northeast Houston.
Keith Cash, Curtis ***an, Tony Jones, Johnny Walker.

Offensive line coach BOB STANLEY - recruits Grand Prairie, Arlington, Fort Worth, west Texas.
Mark Dennard, Frank Myers, Cody Risien, Will Wolford.

And, although he doesn't coach a specific position, strength and conditioning coach CHUCK FAUCETTE has coached Leonard Davis, Casey Hampton, Quentin Jammer and Mile Williams.

I know Coach Bennett wants to focus on his 300-mile radius. But there's too much talent in SoCal and in Florida to be ignored. Memo to Coach Bennett: plant a coach/scout out here and grab one Cali stud each year, and go get one Jonas Rutledge every year out of Florida. And watch the WAC shake in fear.

Does anyone know why individual cities are split up among coaches?

Dallas is divided among Fello, Gush, J.Bennett, Giles and James, and Houston is divided among Edmondson and Giles.

What gives? Isn't that inefficient? There's got to be a way to streamline that, don't you think?
