bitter, you gotta be joking, right? What you got as a head coach is a "Liar", and now he's your problem!
Yeah, you are not bitter - right.

wait, you guys all need to take a deep breathe. When I said bottom of the food chain, I didn't mean that in a disrespectful way. What I meant is with Hawaii it's the only division I football on the island. SMU has to compete with all the local based teams in the Dallas area, and Texas to a greater extent. With SMU on a 20 year swoon, it's not hard to find other sports, or teams in Texas to follow. I'm no fool, I know that Texas, CAlifornia, Ohio, and Florida put out the majority of high school blue chip athletes in all the major sports. I'm not disputing Texas as a hotbed of talent. That would be ludicrous on my part! I'm just saying the Dallas area community is not gonna jump on the June Jones bandwagon like Hawaii did. UH football was and remains the only game in town sports wise, except for our occasional MMA events sponsored by K-1 or Icon Sports, or Elite MX. In the end, June Jones came back to Hawaii because his then wife is from there. That's why back then he said that the NFL or any other team would be wasting it's time trying to recruit him as a coach. He said back then, that Hawaii would be his last coaching job, and I still believed it up to his signing with SMU. You see, June Jones loves Hawaii. He lives & works in Texas. Had UH's then AD Herman Frazier hadn't embraced the motto "Hawaiian Time", June would still be at UH. He gave the University every opportunity to re-sign him before the start of what turned out to be his last season at UH. But Herman Frazier decided to re-sign Jones on' Hawaiian Time'. That didn't sit well with June's ego. He became restless, and decided to listen to offers from schools only from Texas,...and of course Hawaii too. But why just schools from Texas? That's were a good investigative reporter will come in handy. Hawaii is a pretty liberal state. Texas is pretty conservative, once they find out why June Jones is truly here. I'm not sure his job will be safe!

With HAwaii, June Jones had the only show in town, here SMU is on the bottom of the "food Chain"in Dallas. 85% of the Hawaiian community was behind UH and June Jones. After all, he played at UH. His wife(former) was from Hawaii. So he had ties than ran deep into the Hawaiian community too which help. With Texas all he has was old ties to Houston, and an on going feud with Mack Brown.
Will June Jones be the answer SMU alum have been waiting so long for? I doubt it! Personally, I don't think Jones will last the life of his SMU contract.
Exactly what does that have to do with the team he puts on the field??
I think it has a lot to do with how they embrace their coach. I expect a lot of grumbling this year at SMU amongst the players. New coaches, new system. First thing you'll notice, Tight ends transferring out, or converting to linemen. In the "Run & Shoot", a QB controversy is a must, and this year will be no different. Last year's starting QB loses his job to a freshman! But not one freshman, but two of them! How do you think he feels about Coach Jones right now? SMU is gonna pass 45 to 50 times a game. You're gonna have upset tailbacks too. Getting to carry the ball maybe 10 times a game if they are lucky! Think the tailbacks will enjoy that?

I can guarantee that I'm a lot less "bitter" than you are "hopeful" my friend. I can understand all you folk praying that June Jones is the second coming of Christ. I mean how many years has SMU had a losing record? Jones turned around Hawaii's program. But it couldn't go anywhere but up at the point when Jones entered the UH picture. Mind you Jones is gonna win you a lot of barn burners. But he's gonna drive you football fanatics crazy with game calling in spot situations. In the end, his ego always makes the decision. Plus it's usually a decision you'd never go along with either!! Mark my words, 9 outta ten times he's gonna pass on a third & inches play, even when you're down with time running out. Personally, I got sick & tired of trying to defend these stupid decisions/calls on his part with the game on the line. He lost more games that way. His ego wouldn't allow it any other way! You'll see! Oh let's not forget, he still has a big surprise to lay on the SMU alumni, supporters, etc.,etc

Call WFAA-TV and ask for a guy named Dale Hansen.

I recommend you come off that crack binge. Anyone that knows anything about football and they type of offense June Jones runs would already know he doesnt use the RB that much. Most on this board know what we are getting in the terms of offensive play. mainly 70% pass, 30% run. Why do you insist on pointing out things we already know?

If that guy's referring to the allegations of affairs wtih coeds, somebody tell him we already heard about that and we don't care. We also know that he was 12-1 last year and busted the BCS, all with that offense that doesn't work on third and inches.

I know you are just a troll, but I must respond to this. Texas is a conservative state, but it is also a football state. Unless he's here to employ illegal immigrants or a-rabs, or plans to raise the hawaian over Ford Stadium, nobody will care. Go away.
I propose a ban on all threads bringing up Jone Jones' personal life.

July I do not know your brothers reason for taking the SMU job but he has been truthful with his intent to return home, he has said when he finishes coaching he will be going home to Hawii. I do not know his age but this five year contract could be it. One thing you got to remeber about Texas most coed's fathers carry 38's or 44's

You have no credibility here. Hawai'i was 12-1 last year. JJ might have passed on 3rd and inches 9 out of 10 times but evidently he made it most of the time. Your comments just make no sense at all. It is as if y'all were winless last year. Get over it, September, he is gone.
When will I start feeling stimulated??
