It seems like only yesterday... Working with PonyPride on the ‘04 Recruiting Roundup was where I first saw the name Andrew McKinney. And his superlatives immediately leapt off the page.

Awesome video. That guy could be HUGE for us this year. He has a great attitude, and I will be thrilled to see him crack some skulls.

We keep hearing the same, "the players trust the coaches and the coaches trust the players". Hearing this from a senior seems really unsual when a coaching change is made in the player's last year. This group of coaches is really special.

This attitude coupled with the fact that Rice only has three upper class corners, (plus two freshman) gives me hope that we will beat Rice!

New Look Backfield

Postby Webmaster » Fri Aug 22, 2008 2:20 pm

O.K. PonyFans... Along with the video feature on McKinney, here's a little bonus. The new look of the SMU backfield with Bo Levi Mitchell handing off to Andrew McKinney with Vincent Chase clearing the way (we'll do a feature on Martin shortly to complete the backfield).

Check out the intensity in McKinney's eyes in photo #2 and let me know if you'd be willing to step out in front of that freight train.

A buddy of mine met Andrew McK at Tenison Park Golf Course a few weeks ago and played a round with him. He spoke very highly of Andrew McK and commented that he's 'HUGE'! I am now recruiting my buddy to attend SMU games to watch Andrew McK in action at Ford Stadium.

If you insist. 8)

First off, let's round off the latest incarnation of the Pony Express with a couple shots of DeMyron.

Here's a couple of Bo Levi in action:

And here's what the receiving end looks like... About 60 yards away... (BTW, I believe that's true freshman Quincey Whittington splitting the DBs and landing in the end zone).

Check out JJ in his sweats in the pic of Bo Levi. The man defines the word 'cool'.

Great shots! Notice the play, where Evan is driving Mitch Enright into Bo's face. The man is like a charging bull!

Fantastic stuff. I've got two trips to Dallas planned for the fall - can't wait to see the Ponies tear up Conference USA.

Great interview.
