The band was there 2 years ago
Full band or pep band?
hmm...I honestly am not sure. There were quite a few there but it might not have been the full group.
I'm sure SMU Diamond M could explain...seems to me that I remember seeing him there.

It was the full band, we bussed out there and stayed the night. I don't blame them for not making that game a priority.[/quote]

My apologies. We never went there post DP while the SWC was still around. I honestly never missed it. Annapolis would be a great trip.

I would take Annapolis over Lubbock any day. I love it when the pep band goes to oot games. Band should definitely boycot Lubbock.

I think Mustang Football Families, parents of football players, helped with that a couple of years ago because they thought having the band there provided support to the team.

That was for the game at Rice back in 2006.

We aren't going to the Navy game as a unit. I am not sure if there is anybody going as individuals.
The Mustang Band is attending the Rice and Tulane games this year. While in NOLA, we will also be doing some outreach stuff that will look good both for our organization and the University.
We attended the @Tech game 2 years ago, didn't stay the night, and were greeted with the worst reception possible from their fans. Not many of us enjoyed that trip, and it was deemed less important than the conference games we are attending when the decision was made.
When we attended the Rice game 2 years ago (6-6...), it was through donations from Pony Fans and the like. It's expensive.

Relax, the cheerleaders are coming over to my house during those games. I'm not sure what the band is doing -- we're going to be playing some Barry White CDs.
Until further review I'm not so sure I'd brag about that. The cheerleaders need to recruit better talent. Maybe Stallion can do a report.

I'll never forget "F*** U SMU" being chanted during Varsity. Every fan I met there on the Tech side (including the older ones) was a total jerk and basically made me hate everything having to do with Tech. 1-11 again this year would be ok if the one win was somehow pulled off in Lubbock.

Wonder if we can get any more threads started about Tech today. Only three so far.

The band also went to Lubbock in like 02 or 03. We stayed the night and it blew, and Tech fans are mostly trash.

First lets win some games and get butts in the stands, then I might make that donation if the band might make a difference on road trips
