Depends who you ask. I don't pretend to be an expert
and unlike you and the doom & gloom platoon I will
continue to mirror the upbeat expectations of June Jones
and Steve Orsini who are both positive about SMU football.
I doubt those two guys got to where they are by being
doom and gloomers.
Come to think of it, how many were we "expected"
to win last year susnshine? Did we make it?
I doubt it or why would Coach Phil have been fired?
I guess "no expectations" was closer to reality
than your pie in the sky sunshinism.
Please show me links where I have ever had
"pie in the sky" expectations or predictions?
Maybe I did with the coaching search and having
a strong belief last Nov/Dec/Jan that Steve Orsini
would deliver a top notch coach when the doom
and gloomers like Stallion and many, many
others were predicting "who would wanna come here"?,
"it will take years to overcome the recruits we are losing"
"June Jones will never leave Hawaii for here, why would he""
"this is a coaching graveyard everybody knows it"
"oh woe is me" ...."booooo whoooo"...."wha wha wha".
Borrowing your words "did we make it"?
jtSteer did we hire a top notch coach?
It has been for 20 years now.
And now we have a great coach in the
prime of his career that has shown
he can turn a dead program around
and get his team to a BCS Bowl game.
Why would you have such
little trust in Steve Orisini & June Jones
to continue to have "no expectations"?
A pretty successful bunch of guys (Circle of Champions)
must have about 2 million a year in expectations.
Are you happy that enough successful millionaires
have high expectations and went out and did
something? Or would you prefer "woe is me
I have no expectations"?
Quit dwelling on the past, quit being sooooo negative!
Go Mustangs!
See you in September...LOL.....September?....Jeezzzzz
