I don't care but this was stated last week.
Another elaborate ruse!
A cunning attempt to deceive someone?
Yes, all of us...JW is perfectly happy but #4 on the chart...no way. I've got this feeling that he's going to play a lot more this season than we think.
Of course I also thought for sure that I was going to win the lottery the other day, so who knows.

willis at 4th string is absolutely ridiculous. you gotta be kidding me. really, it is. anybody who isnt very skeptical of that has blinders on. better beat rice. I cannot accept the notion that we have to build the program up to someday compete with rice.

Not that I believe any of this BS, but with Smith redshirting, JW is still #3...snicker, snicker.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I think you are on to something. we do not know the true motives of JJ but I think BS will get redshirted this year, so that leaves LT at 2 and JW stuck at 3

I have seen nowhere any statement aobut redshirting Smith, although I could have missed it. All I saw is that Jones said with the lack of reps that Smith was getting at #2, it would not be good to "throw him to the wloves" against Rice. Jones said that Turner knew the offense inside and out and could be ready if needed. I interpreted that as soon as Smith has a better grasp, he will be #2 again.

I take it that JW, while demoted, has not yet checked in and transferred. I'll leave it to others to talk about his future at SMU, whether third team or eventual starter. I do wonder if JJ has a position switch in mind, although they don't seem to be trying it in practice. JW as holder for place kicks (I think that has been mentioned). JW at RB. Two back who could throw might fox 'em. JW as a "pooch" punter.

We'd probably have to be 0-6 before he'd be made enough to kick a dog. Willis as gay punter on the other hand....

An assumption on my part as I doubt a #3 QB will play unless our O-line lets our QBs get slaughtered.

We don't have to build it up to beat Rice, but we have to build it up to beat people better than Rice.

Not true, my friend. Bo Levi Mitchell is No. 3. I've been watching practice.
