10 Places to Eat Before You Die...

Post by MrMustang1965 »

For those of us who will be going to the SMU v Navy game, we can scratch one off of the list when we get to Annapolis!

From Yahoo Travel:

The Crab House
Maryland crab is one of the glories of America’s bounty, a food so inherently delicious that the less done to it the better. Jimmy Cantler’s Riverside Inn, just outside Annapolis overlooking Mill Creek, is the place to enjoy incomparable blue crab. Get them steamed and learn the indelicate art (wooden mallet required) of opening them. Or go for the nearly binder-free crab cakes, plump and irresistible.

Not unless they moved it to Texas and changed their recipe. People outside of Texas don't know squat about good barbecue, starting with which animal to kill.

Yes, for pizza I'd say Gino's East.

Best BBQ I've ever had is at Kreuz Market in Lockhart, Texas. No sauce, no plates, no forks, just juicy meat on brown paper.

But aside from that, I have never eaten Texas BBQ as good as Kansas City BBQ. Most Texas BBQ joints think some dry meat and runny sauce is all you need for BBQ. It's edible but not great. Arthur Bryant's and Gates are just two of the awesome KC BBQ joints. Even most bad BBQ in KC is good bbq -- juicy smoked meat with delicious sweet, thick bbq sauce. I live in Dallas, but I go home to KC for good bbq (and my husband who did not grow up in KC agrees).

what is the best bbq in texas? I am from here & have been here most of my life, but there is NO question the best bbq i have ever had was absolutely NOT in texas, unfortunately.
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!
