So far so good. Deep ball didn't look good and he physically doesn't look like a D1 QB.

But nice TD.

Deep ball was ugly. I would like to see JW run a series
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

43 attempts for the first time in a game. BLM showed tremendous upside, and didn't go into the tank yet.

Turner has a fresh arm and a tired defense, but he came in with the cool moxy.

Nice to see Huahulu in the game.

DL played with good leverage and better technique than last year. Much work to do, and plenty of time to do it.

That was an education for the kids, but they will get it. I think the offense will be ok in 3-4 games.

The D scares me. I don't know enough about the game to see an improvement. I still saw no pass rush, adn we weren't near the ball a lot.

Logan Turner shows what a redshirt year can do.

Despite the score, I am still encouraged that this team has the ability and talent to learn how to win. The reality is that freshmen and undergraduates without game experience simply cannot compete and carry a team until they develop physical and mental strength, learn from their mistakes and mature to the speed of the game. This will evolve so long as they continue to focus, remain positive and continue to learn from the coaching staff. I saw no evidence from the reactions of the players at the end of the game that this game will be viewed as a negative and cause them to be discouraged. Obviously, they wanted to do better.

I was extremely impressed with JJ for his game conduct and demeanor. He was the subject of a multitude of side line camera shots on TV and was always cool, under control and never displayed or exuded anything but a positive even keel approach. Never did he demonstrate any great emotion or negative body language. He appeared to always deal positively with BLM and all of the team after mistakes. He was always teaching and working on what they needed to do, where they were going and what they were trying to accomplish. He is the perfect coach for this team and situation. It will take time; but JJ is the right guy.

Are you really in a place to be running your mouth, you shmuck? Last time I checked your miserable excuse for a d1 program was the one team that SMU beat last year. JJ and the Mustangs will be fine. Save your criticism for someone who cares.

I actually hoped you would win, and yes we play Rice in a couple of weeks, I guess we will see. But JJ sucked it up big time, oh and we did not agree to pay Dodge $10,000,000 like he was a proven college coach.

So, yes I think we can laugh at such a sorry effort after all the BS your board gave us last year.

We play a real team tonight and we will see where we are this year, Rice, oh my God it was Rice.
