Granted, things aren't in place right now like they were for PB and the Mustangs in 2006, but I'm sure most of us vividly remember the loss to NTSU in week 2 that brought us down to 0-2 (blown out by TT in week 1). We were scheduled to play Sam Houston St. the following week and many of us, myself definitely included, thought for sure we were going to end up 0-3.

Well, in a sense, here we are again...a loss to an in-state team we simply should NEVER lose to followed by a game vs a 1-AA opponent. As you all know, we came out against SHSU and blew them out, followed by a great showing against Ark St the following week en route to a 6-6 season that ended painfully short of a bowl game.

Ponyfans - I'm certainly not the most optimistic person out there after last night's fiasco, but I do know that it was only one week and we've got a good chance to start it up right at home next week. I don't see us winning more than 3 games this year no matter what, but I'm pretty excited to see how things look on our home turf.

If we could turn in around 2 years ago, and JJ could turn it around after one blowout in 1999, then we can certainly get this thing going the right way in the not too far future....next week it begins!

I call a mulligan on yesterday and have wiped it from my memory. I recommend you all do the same.

Mulligan Me

One game does not make a season or a career, whether you win or lose it. Next week will certainly be better. It's the Tech game that could hurt us ( and I do mean injuries).
