WTF? We're one game in, and some folks want to save Coach Jones' salary to bring PB back - "since there's no difference" or something - and now Coach Mason isn't allowed to teach, either? "Dumb it down" is exactly the same as "simplify it" .... different term for the same concept. This witchhunt mentality is shameful, folks. Let the man - and the staff - coach.

The term Coach Mason used in the interview was "simplify". He said that he wanted to "simplify" things. I think we will improve this week.

I noticed the same thing. As the game went on, they seemed to slip back into the PB defenses of old. There wasn't much 'jet' or blitz after the first quarter. I am hoping that this is just unlearning all of the awful the last regime put in place. They still need to think about the new system, not just react. When reaction comes to play, they are reacting how they know best...the PB 3rd and 14, so let's give them a 20 yard cushion defense.

A lot has been said of the offense learning a new scheme. Although they still have a way to go, it seems that they are farther along than the defense.
