I'm going with the freshman at the helm.

BLM made a few bad throws, including one interception that was thrown so high, I almost had time to run under it...and I watched in Dallas. BUT, he did seem to keep control and composure in the pocket. He didn't get panicky and jumpy. After bad plays, he was next to JJ learning how to correct his mistakes. Most of his bad throws were later in the game when his arm grew more tired. As his arm strength gets better, so will his throws late in the game. I think this will happen sooner than later. What may take a little longer is accurate reads.

Cole Beasley also looked pretty solid in his first game.

BLM, I love his arm and the way he throws the ball. I think he showed great potential in his first start. Next year he will be awesome.

Wow, having watched one game I can't pick anyone out yet from the field. So looking beyond Friday's game, I guess I'd give a shout out to Vincent Chase. That poor guy spent his whole career waiting for Bennet and Rusty to open up the tight end position, and now, in what should have been his top season, he's been moved to to the line as an undersized tackle. He's a hard worker and the most wasted talent we had on the team. I hope that fate rewards his dedication.

He has never been the same since he broke his foot. Hopefully he will return to his previous level, but he just does not look the same.

I'm gonna agree with ponygrad90, and go with Henderson...that man is fast.

By the way, he didn't break his foot.

Kudos to ALL of the Mustangs!

A special 'shout out' to Kelvin Beachum and Cole Beasley who sat at our table at the SMU Kick-Off Luncheon two weeks ago!
