Speaking of attendance, Terry Hemme at the SMU Athletic Department ticket office sent out a subtle email last spring announcing a community outreach program for the Dallas inner city kids. The Community Program brings the kids to the campus for the day, provides them something to eat and a ticket to a football game. The program encouraged the purchase of season's tickets for donation to this outreach program. Since I live 1500 miles from Dallas and cannot personally attend most of the games, this was a means of allowing me to support the Athletic Department and still help out with kids who need a positive influence and perspective in their lives. My plug is for any of you to give Terry a call at 214-768-2476 and help out if you can. Hope this is not an inappropriate posting.
