Kudos to Coach Reinebold.
First of all, he had his receivers ready to perform Friday night in Houston. No, they weren't perfect, but a lot of them made plays. Thank you, Coach.
Then, he was an AWESOME interview last night on Dial M for Mustang. Great insight, great stories  and he stayed the whole hour.
Third: hats off to Coach Reinebold for voluntarily bringing up former WRs coach Larry Edmondson and commending him for how well-taught the receivers were when the new staff took over. Very few coaches ever acknowledge their predecessors like that, and I thought it showed an awful lot about the kind of character Coach Reinebold has.

I agree that was classy. Former Smu WRs Coach Larry Edmondson must have been a pretty special guy. I remember reading how Coach Edmondson even after he was fired from SMU kept in contact with certain recruits and told them that a new regime would soon be in place and the recruits should not panic. Coach Edmondson didn't have to do that. Coach Larry Edmondson will always be a part of the "SMU Family".

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Coach Edmondson IS a very special guy. He did everything for the right reasons, he was a good teacher and he treated his guys with affection and support and respect and dignity. Can't have too many guys like Coach Edmondson. He's working in high school somewhere, and I wish him all the luck in the world.
As for Coach Reinebold, let's not forget that he's also one hell of a recruiter. What a great addition to the staff.
Thanks for a great show Wednesday, Coach! Good luck Saturday!

I've heard he's a class act. He also was a no-show as the guest of honor at an event that was hosted for him by an alumni group back in August. And this was after he confirmed he'd be there.

I was just kidding, I don't know that Reinebold hates bands for a fact.
The general, however, is on record. Repeatedly.

Does the General hate the TSU band as much as he hates the Rice band?

I know you were. I was just wanting an opportunity to mention General Parrot.

Was that when he picked up the Fontana commitment?
