Buy 24 more tickets, greet every guest at the door and tell them the party has been moved to the blvd. Tell them you will see them there!

You'll want to think long and hard about this one, just ask mrydel.
Obviously mrydel missed his chance to think long and hard about it.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Never use AMEX. Give her a card with a limit.

Its our little secret.
It works in reverse as well. I would not be swayed to miss a Pony game by the promise of new shoes; however, I would GLADLY skip the car show/hunting trip/golf game/casino night or any other manly activity in exchange. Ok, maybe not golf....

I don't understand the concept. She'd rather go to a party than the game? This would not be an issue in our house. I'd go with offering the new shoes. Neimans has some really nice Louboutins that no one will buy me. You should buy her those.

Get as drunk as possible right before the party. That way she'll be too embarassed to take you, and will have to drop you off at the game to keep you from messing up the house.
That would be a problem too since the party we are going to will involve heavy amounts of alcohol... they would insist on me coming even in a pure state of stupidity.. These are great ideas by the way.
What's the problem then? Get there early, encourage her to drink heavily, sneak out to the game, and when you get back demand to know where SHE has been all night! Let her know you've got serious misgivings about the way she just suddenly dissapeared and that you could see her flirting with other guys openly, from across the room. Demand that she hand over her car keys. Let her know that if she ever embarrasses you like this in public again, you could be headed to divorce court, or at the very least family counseling. That should do it.

It is always easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission.

But is it worth half of everything you own to see if it works?
