I am going to agree. I know a lot of fans don't know what to do and when, but I am not that guy. Personally, I thought it was amateur, bush league, and flat out embarassing.

Again, I am not sure it was as embarassing as that damn "Pony Up" song before the game. I may have to kill myself for having listened to that crap.

bagice, come and take it, and the rest of you who criticize the PA are right. The term Public Address means he is addressing and proividing information to the PUBLIC, including the other team's fans, the neutral observers and everybody in the stadium who bought a ticket. it is classless and an insult to assume all those people want to hear the pa act as a chearleader. Gee, maybe that's why so many of em stay away from smu games in droves!

its not play-by-play, its not chearleading, those jobs belong to other people. its supposed to be info provided so everybody in the stadium can better enjoy the game. blue hair, baloney. its not even up to high school, its just dumb.

Try having to stand on the float at the 4th of July Parade having to listen and play to it the entire route. Now I see why Kurtz said "The horror, the horror" before he died.

Bell has been battling cancer for quite some time and finally had to 'retire', I believe.

I can't get too down on our fans, we have had pitiful little to cheer about in forever. When we start winning and competing for conference titles and not have play South West Texas State and see them go through our defense like a hot knife through butter, the cheering and enthusiam will be there. Winning will cure many things, and fan apathy will be at the top of the list.

The average football fan in Dallas, especially at SMU, is NOT motivated in any way by the band or by cheerleaders. Welcome to 2008. Something like this is what will have to be done.

I heard some of our blue-hair and snobby fans actually come to the game disguised as corpses.

Maybe we need to stick a cattle prod up some of your collective a$$e$ to get you excited about -- ANYTHING!!

He's here to stay so you better get used to it.

PA guy was horrendous, called a PAT a field goal at one point. Journey vid was cool.

Sound system I guess was upgraded? No more stacks in the endzone. Sounded pretty good on the west side at the 50. How'd it sound on the east side?

NO..what is SAD.....is that the announcer HAS TO ENCOURGE you stand up and cheer and support your team.

I've never been so embarrased by fans that sit that much through a football game.
Is it your losing spirit that drives this thread???

GET UP OFF Your @ss and support your team!!!
You want wins.....do your part!

Being the home team is suppose to be an advantage for a reason...not just so the players are comfortble on their own territory.....not so you don't have to driv eso far tot he game...but for noise and support during critical plays.......

YOU should know to stand up on THIRD and fourth DOWNS!
The announcer and the team shouldn't have to beg for your support.

Now that you've seen a win again, I'm sure your team expects better support from thier fans!

If you SIT more than you Stand at a football game...
you are not a fan, you are just a spectator!

Rally Mustang fans...drive to Lubbock and let this team know that you truly beleive in them and will be ther to support them.

Fans are an improtant part of a Winning Tradition...time for some new ones on the hilltop!

We tried that in the '80s, it didn't turn out like we hoped.

Actually it turned out pretty well. I'd make that trade again. 5 yrs of dominance, a couple of yrs off, 5 yrs of dominance....couple of yrs off.....sounds pretty good relative to the last 20.
