Offense is not our problem and hasn't been for a while. Improvement there is all well and good, but I am concerned about defense.
Agreed wholeheartedly, but the subject was offense.

he's out performed your expectations? please explain. did you expect us to lose to texas state? did you expect him not to throw the ball 40 times again?
Did you expect him to throw 5 picks against Rice?

I didn't expect him to be THIS good as a guy a few months removed from high school. Look at his play against Rice until he had to force plays in come from behind mode. And Willis would not have done better than Bo did against Texas State, five touchdowns, zero interceptions, and umpteen hundred passing yards. His pocket presence and maturity is impressive. He's got a stronger and more accurate arm. He's got quicker reads. As much as I love Willis and have repeatedly endorsed his play, I can't imagine him doing better to this point.

Before I answer, please answer me this first. Do you just want to argue about something or do you legitimately think Willis would have done better to this point?

Cute, expony. Now answer the question: Would Willis have done better to this point?

Neither. I just want to legitimately know what your expectations were that he has exceeded. I too am shocked by your statement.
Clearly Mitchell played a better game against D-2 SWTSU than Rice, but before we go extolling the greatness and accuracy of his golden arm, in the interest of reality, let's acknowledge a bunch of great adjustments to the ball by his receivers on Saturday night.

I will admit Bo is as good as advertised, but I don't think it's time to give him any awards. It would have been better IMO if Justin started the rice game and slowly worked Bo in, but I'm not paid to make those decisions... I like Bo, I think he has a lot of potential but it is going to take time. We all know he will put up huge numbers, but even Colt recognized how long it took him to really understand the offense

Thank you. I didn't think there was a chance in hell that BLM would have done better than Willis. And I publicly and repeatedly b1tched about it on here. I believe I was wrong.
Expony seems to think that Willis would have done better against Rice. Fair enough.

did i say that i thought he would do better? no. I said I would have slowly worked in Bo (much like Ohio State is doing with Pryor), I never said we would have won the game if JW played... It doesn't matter who is playing QB with the defense we have, and that was the main issue, not Bo or Justin or Turner
