SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Has Scout adjusted the profile yet?

I just checked the Scout database again upon which my statements were based and there has been no change to the combine numbers listed for Terren Jones and the 4 alleged incorrect times or measurements. If he's got a problem with his performance or the numbers Scout posted I suggest he self improve or contact Scout if they are wrong.

And yet scout hasn't changed anything. I find that interesting.

Just speculation, but I doubt that Scout would change numbers just based on a recruits phone call. I am not saying the kid is not telling the truth, but I would think they would need some data on which they could base the change. Perhaps they have not received that or perhaps it is not available. If a recruit could change these things just by a phone call, everyone signed would be a 4.3, 6' 7", 280-350 lb. Athlete.

My point was that he already took the necessary steps to tell the recruiting company that his numbers differed from what they had.

Obviously, they can't take his word for it and they have to go through some other verification process. If they did that, then it could turn ugly with just about every other recruit and compromise the integrity of their web site.

It's really up to our recruit to inform the masses if Scout is going to verify, has verified or will not verify these latest numbers. It's really in their court.

There are a lot of possibilities here. To name a couple:
1. Scout doesn't care about accuracy
2. Scout is unaware of a discrepancy in spite of a poster on pf.com having claimed to have contacted them to correct it.

As a legit D1 prospect, Mr. Jones has a very specific interest in making sure that he is reported on accurately, though I imagine that personal contact with the coaches in question is probably a lot more important than the public consumption services. So I wouldn't be at all surprised if a recruit were to call in and try to have mis-information corrected. However, at the same time Scout and Rivals have everything to gain from accuracy. With these two services in competition, there has to be an emphasis on being better able than the other to project recruits. So why on earth would they not investigate and fix bad numbers when they are reported to them?

So if the numbers are lower than the "real" numbers, both parties involved are best served by accurate reporting. Yet the numbers are unchanged.

I hadn't noticed this before, but Scouts quotes this kid as having an offer from ECU.
