Flight odds

Postby mrydel » Fri Sep 12, 2008 7:41 am

What are the odds on my flight scheduled to land in Austin tomorrow at 2:25pm actually taking place? I am betting on the heavy winds staying just far enough eastward to let me sneak in.

I know General..."who cares?" I do.

Southwest has cancelled flights but I would say 90% if they can fly around the storm. The aiport is only suppoesed to get 1/2" of rain with moderate wind now.

On the news this morning thet said tomorrow afternoon should be a nice day.

I'm concerned about your personal safety as well. That's a bigger deal than a link on Bottom 10. Have you checked with Southwest? Why are you going in the first place? I gather it was for Texas-Arkansas but you have to eat the tickets anyway? And you were going to see family?

BTW, I saw you talking to BUS as the game ended Saturday. Meant to say hello but I had to round up the kiddos.

Careful how that line could be interpreted.

My trip is to see my grandson who turned 1 year old on the 9th and is having a party on Sunday. It was just coincidental that Arkansas was playing in Austin. I choose this weekend since I do not do Lubbock and was delighted to hear I could see the game on FoxSports.

That said, I lead the charge in saying that 1 year old birthday parties are ridiculous, but my trip is not fpr the party but rather to see him, my daughter, my son-in-law who is a pretty good guy even though a UT guy, and my two grand daughters that I only get to see about once a year. Much like UT/AR, if my flight gets cancelled, I will reschedule for the 27th since the Tulane game is on Thursday of that week. Mrsmrydel says she is proud of me for placing my grandchildren second behind SMU. I think she was being sarcastic.

Your alive!!! Without seeing 20 posts from you already, I thought something might have happened. I was about to call in the SWAT team.

BTW - Great job by the UT officials to cancel the game. (Okay, yes, it was the right decision at the time.... but still, pretty funny to walk outside to a beautiful day.)
