Gatewood is going to UT. I'm pretty positve, but whats worse is the fact that he will not even be coming for a visit due to the district basketball game he has to play.
I look at it like this we will continue to get better and better with or without him, but he sure would have helped

We appreciate the insight. Things will get better at SMU as more quality guys decide to come here and SMU starts enjoying winning seasons. That will attract more and more quality guys who will see that SMU really has a lot to offer.

Y'all sound pretty sure. Two years ago we wouldn't have been in the running. With Phil Bennett, it ain't over 'til it's over... so, don't assign him a burnt orange number until he inks it. With our present coaching staff, don't count anybody "lost" just yet!!! Go 'stangs!!!

Things already are getting better by the day around here. Thanks for the recruiting effort, SmuCommitt, but you've jumped on board with a program that is getting ready to take off. Sorry Gatewood won't be with us, but there will be plenty of very good players who will.

I'd be interested to hear SMUCommits comments on Marshall WR Rashard Turner a top WR from East Texas who apparently considering SMU. Are you familiar with him?

The guys who have played 7 on 7 against R. Turner say that he really has alot of speed.

How about his hands? Route running? Toughness?
Thanks for the insight.

Hey SmuCommitt, what are our chances at getting R. Turner?
(Is it Rashad or Rashard?)

As far as i know know one will get him because he doesnt have the test score. Unless he has got the score since football season. And for TGate i tried to, my phone calls only went so far, but i agree with smucommitt, we will be as good with out him, yes he could have helped, but we will be fine without him.
